自責

僕が参加している美容室経営者の会では毎回それぞれの経営者が自社について発言する機会があります。
自社の話で主に、いや基本ほとんどと言っていいほど話題は人にまつわることです。
話題はスタッフが問題を起こした、スタッフが辞めてしまうなどどちらかといえば人に対する悩みが多いでしょうか。
先日もある経営者の方のところで、2名のスタッフ（夫婦だそう）が一緒に辞めてしまうという出来事が話されました。
その経営者の方に他の経営者が聞きました。
「今回スタッフが辞める原因は何なの？」
その質問に対して、夫婦であるスタッフのことを話しだしてほどなく発言が遮られました。
「スタッフに対しての問題と捉えているかもしれないけれど、結局は経営者自身の問題なんじゃないの」と意見を言われたのです。
その場にいた僕も同じように感じました。
そして思いました。他人のことを見た時には、すぐにそう理解できるのですがこれが自身のことになると分からなくなると。
スタッフの問題？いや、自分自身の問題であり課題なのです。なのに、他人の問題と履き違えてしまいがちなのです。
現在かなりの店舗数と大勢のスタッフを抱え、利益も高くノリノリの経営をされている経営者の方のスタッフでなんともおかしな問題を起こした一件が先日ありました。
話を聞いている限り経営者に責任があるような話ではまったくありませんでした。
しかも大勢のスタッフを抱えていて目も届かないであろうに。
その経営者の方に聞いてみました。その件について他責ですが自責ですか？と。
すると「僕は基本自責ですよ。」と答えました。
いつも自信満々で実績を上げている方なのに、そんなことでもしっかり自分の事として受け容れている。いや、そういう人だからこそ経営者として成功されているのでしょう。
スラムダンクで有名な言葉に諦めたらそこでおしまいですよというのがあります（よね？）。
人との関わりについて、諦めたらそこでおしまいです。
そして、その関わりとは自分自身の成長なくしては成立しないことがこの歳になってようやく気付かされました。
気付くって苦しいですね(^_^;)
気付かなければ、他人のせいにして苦しまなくて済んだのです。
しかし、気付かなければ一生変われませんよね。
気付いた以上この課題を僕はクリアします！
