昨日大和成和病院のHPで南淵医師のコメントを読んだ。
南淵先生はブラックジャックによろしくの登場人物モデルにもなった心臓外科医。年間何百件もの心臓手術を担当してきた方で、その世界ではある意味別格の先生です。
その南淵先生のコメントは凄い。何も隠さず、強さが感じられる。そして、その裏にある人間らしさがありありととれるのは、偉業を成し遂げている人のコメントとしては異質な気がする。
「これまでは毎年年末に、その年にどれだけ自分の患者が亡くなったか思い起こし、地獄の指定席券を確認していたものです。」
凄いコメントじゃないですか？背負うものがあまりに凄い。凄すぎる。
そして、昨年一人の死者も出なかったことを評して「やはり大変な重症例に意欲を示さなかった傾向があったせいではないか、と自戒する次第です。」と書いている。
美容師として、難しい髪質やコンディションのお客様を、危ないから施術（パーマなど）止めようと説得するのは簡単かもしれない。でも、チャンスがあれば挑戦することも美容師として必要なことなのかも・・・
南淵医師については何冊もの著書があるそうで、是非読んで本当のプロとはどういうものか知りたくなりました。
さて、温度が読めない話です。
デジタルパーマの機械が新しくなって早2ヶ月。なかなか良い調子と最初は思っていたのですが、なんとなく違和感が。違和感の原因、それは旧機種との温度設定の違いだった。
旧機種よりも低めの温度で施術することがとても良い事と思っていたのですが、髪質やコンディションによっては旧機種並みの温度を当てる必要性があるような気がしてきて。
というのも、温度を抑え目でかけると、柔らかくかかってそれはそれでgoodなのですが、それが逆にカールの弱さに現れてしまうように感じることがあって。そのあたり、実際にお客様からの指摘があったわけではないのですが、僕的にそんな気がする結果が少々ありまして。
「ならば、温度を旧機種と同じにすればいいやん」と思うでしょう？
ところがどっこい、新旧両機種は表示温度とロッドの実際の温度がそれぞれ違うのだ。旧機種の60℃と新機種の60℃がロッド触った感覚でも明らかに違うのだ。そこで、はっきりカタをつけてよプレイバックパート2！（笑）ってことで、赤外線放射温度計なるものを入手して温度測定してみました。

予想はしていたけど、やはり旧機種は温度が高い。新機種と旧機種で、表示温度は同じでも実際は20℃の差があった。
しかしながら、これは別に悲観するとか、残念な結果では全くない。今までのかかりでOKな場合は旧機種並みの温度設定すればいいし、柔らかさを求める場合は温度を下げればいい。それだけなのだ。
結局何度も書いてきたのですが、機械機械言っても単なる道具で、道具の特性を知った上で使いこなせばいいだけのこと。
結論。まだまだデジタルパーマは進化する、かも？(´∀｀：）
そして、せっかく手に入れた温度計で、さらにあれやこれやの温度を測ってみた。
測ってみたら、なななんと！あれの温度があれだったんすよー（爆）
